Title: Keyboard equivalents of touchscreen gestures
Post by: jyurow on March 17, 2010, 07:51:50 AM
I recently had to have my Palm Pre replaced because of a known issue, cracks under the touchscreen radiating from the pushbutton.  While waiting for the replacement phone, I used some keyboard work arounds particularly to use my contact list, calendar, and phone.  For example, keying in the word "calendar" and pressing the "return" key to bring up today's calendar.  Are there similar keyboard equivalents to replace touchscreen gestures?  Examples would be: closing an app (upward sweep) and checking a calendar date other than today (left or right sweep).  I am just a newbie to WebOS, but, if there are no such keyboard equivalents, perhaps I could invent some and develop an "emergency app" to implement them.  Sounds like that would be a good WebOS learning exercise as well!

Is your model in warranty period ? If so then it will be easy for you to replace the palm or anything else. Otherwise go for original accessories.
