Sprint has posted a 10 minute demo of the Pre with Palm's Matt Crowley, from the recent webinar jointly hosted by Palm and Sprint. Most is a recap of what we've seen already, but it's always nice to see the webOS handset up close again. "The overall design is based on a polished river stone," Crowley stated, before getting into the features of the sleek device.
The speedy web performance was also demonstrated; previously we reported on how it only took 8 seconds to load the intensive sports site www.big12sports.com, compared to at least 20-30 seconds on the iPhone. In demonstrating the touchstone he also used the speakerphone, which turns on when you place it on the dock, and reverts back to handset mode when you pick it up. Pretty cool.
